The Chamber is led by Kumar Deepraj, Advocate-on-Record (“AOR”) at the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. Mr. Deepraj has, within a comparatively short span of practice, built substantial experience across civil, commercial, regulatory, and arbitration-related litigation. In June 2025, he qualified the prestigious Advocate-on-Record Examination conducted by the Supreme Court of India in his very first attempt, becoming one of the youngest professionals in the country to achieve this distinction. The AOR qualification, regarded as one of the most rigorous professional examinations in the Indian legal system, reflects advanced proficiency in Supreme Court procedure, drafting, advocacy, and professional ethics. Under the Supreme Court Rules, only an Advocate-on-Record is authorised to file and act on behalf of parties before the Hon’ble Supreme Court, making the qualification a significant professional milestone for any serious Supreme Court practitioner.

Mr. Deepraj’s professional experience also includes his engagement with the Legislative Department, Ministry of Law & Justice, Government of India, where he contributed to legislative and policy-oriented assignments connected with significant statutory frameworks, including the Fugitive Economic Offenders framework and the Surrogacy Amendment framework. This exposure has further strengthened the Chamber’s understanding of legislative intent, statutory construction, and the intersection between law, governance, and regulatory policy.
